The Inquirer: In a bid to curb the further spread of the Ebola virus disease, the Government of Liberia has opened an Ebola Treatment Unit in Sinje, Grand Cape Mount County. The ETU which appears to be one of the best in the country will be managed by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

UNMEER Chief Arrives in Liberia

During Mr. Banbury’s two day visit in Liberia, he will travel to Sinje, Grand Cape Mount County for the opening of the new 50 bed Ebola Treatment Unit run by the International Organization on Migration.  Anthony Banbury, the Head of the first ever UN System wide Emergency Health Mission called the UN Mission for the Ebola Emergency Response (UNMEER) has arrived in Liberia as part of his final tour of the three countries most affected by the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak.
