Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Liberia, IOM works in the areas of Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration, Counter Trafficking, Migration Management and Resettlement and Reintegration Assistance.

IOM strengthens the capacities of its partners in government and civil society to prevent trafficking in persons, and protect victims from the trade while offering them options of safe and sustainable reintegration and/or return to their home countries.
- 35,000 young people between 17 and 25 years old benefited from a community-based moving screening debate competitions, public forum and inter-high school competitions on awareness raising in migration decision making and risks associated with irregular migration.
- Initiated radio jingles and 10 talk-shows on local radio stations relative to irregular migration.
- Produced a music on safe migration, reaching over 25,000 local inhabitants.
- Trained migrants on ICT, content development, conference facilitation and reporting.
